Independent Streak Magazine celebrates its 12th year. Founded by Rachel Galvin, the magazine celebrates the independent film world, with a focus on South Florida.
Galvin has experience not only as a writer and editor for the last two decades, but also as an actress, working in Los Angeles and South Florida. She has won awards for her acting, freelance writing and also for her podcast she had for several years interviewing film industry professionals, called Indie Streak. In addition, she has been a frequent judge in various festivals through the years, including Ft. Lauderdale Intl. Film Festival, Vero Beach Film Festival, 48 Hour Film Project in Miami and Jacksonville and Boynton Beach Film Festival.
Her mission is to support the film community with her endeavors.
